theatre young audience and family viewing circus outside the walls

de Yeung Faï et Éric Domenicone

Heir of a great family of Chinese puppeteers, Yeung Fai is touring several cities to introduce this ancient art. A few manipulations are enough to make appear a starving tiger or create sword fights. Children and adults are assured to be amazed. Young Yeung Fai was trained to puppetry by his father. The latter was persecuted during the Cultural Revolution and transmitted much more than a mere passion – the strength to perpetuate this art despite harsh circumstances. Forever affected by such family history, Yeung Fai tirelessly keeps manipulating and making puppets, touring the world with them. With The Puppet-show man, he charms a young audience but he also succeeds in taking an older audience into an extraordinary imaginary world. Meet disreputable tigers, forming and separating couples, sword fighting… All the ingredients making ancient tales both light-hearted and creative.
